I Sing About Things
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about airplanes and I sing about boats
I sing about letters and little love notes
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about toys and a little red wagon
I sing about monsters and a fire breathing dragon
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about itches and I sing about scratches
I sing about my old jeans and their patches
I sing about things that I think about
I sing... about those things
I sing... about those things
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about my two brothers
I'd sing about a sister if I had one, but I don't
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about gerbils and I sing about hamsters
I sing about spiders and dust bunny dancers
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about dogs and pet canaries
I sing about big words from dictionaries
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about things that come into my head
Late at night while I'm lying in bed
I sing about things that I think about
I sing... about these things
I sing... about these things
I sing about things that I think about
I sing... about these things
I sing... about these things
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about things that I think about
I sing about things that I think about
Ooooh ooh ooooh...

Poison Ivy
My brother and I play carefully
Avoiding any shiny leaves of three,
But my brother got it on his knee
And now he moans in misery.
Look out for the poison ivy!
There's never any there that I see.
Look out for the poison ivy!
Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh
Look out for the poison ivy!
My mom glopped him up so it won't spread
And told him to wear big mittens to bed.
If he scratches I'm s'posed to tell,
Every five minutes I have to yell...
There's never any there that I see.
Look out for the poison ivy!
Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh
Look out for the poison ivy!
Now, with no big brother out to play with me,
I sat beneath an oak tree patiently...
I feel an itchy feeling come over me.
Now I've got poison ivy where I can't see!
There's never any there that I see.
Look out for the poison ivy!
Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh
Look out for the poison ivy!
There's never any there that I see.
Look out for the poison ivy!
Oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh
Look out for the poison ivy!

Mosquito (An action song)
Oh, I can't get to sleep
No, I can't get to sleep
No, I can't get to sleep
With that mosquito buzzin' 'round my bed
In the dark I hear it buzzin'
Think it's landed on my *knee
(SLAP)
I think I got it that time
I think I got it that time
I think I got it that time
(Last time only)
I think I got it that time!
*Replace each time with a different
body part. End with 'nose', and
hold nose while singing.

A Frog Named Alexander
There was a frog, his name was Alexander
His best friend was a salamander
They loved to play in the babbling brook
Hoppin’ and a-slippin’ on the rocks and the gook.
Every day the sun shone bright,
The air was hot all day and all night.
Alexander and his salamander friend
Hoped this weather would never end. Oh...
There was a frog, his name was Alexander
His best friend was a salamander
They loved to play in the babbling brook
Hoppin’ and a-slippin’ on the rocks and the gook.
One day when they came to play
All the water had gone away.
Alexander frowned and then he sighed,
His friend the salamander almost cried.
Uh oh, what are they gonna do?
No slippin' no sliding, and no splashing, too.
They started home on down the lane, WAIT!...
Up in the sky, it looks like rain. Oh...
There was a frog, his name was Alexander
His best friend was a salamander
They loved to play in the babbling brook
Hoppin’ and a-slippin’ on the rocks and the gook.
The rain came down and tickled their noses,
Tickled their backs, and tickled their toes-es.
The rain filled the brook again
For Alexander and his friend. Oh...
There was a frog, his name was Alexander
His best friend was a salamander
They loved to play in the babbling brook
Hoppin’ and a-slippin’ on the rocks and the gook.
Hoppin' and slippin' on the rocks and the gook------

The Dust Bunny Waltz
Last Saturday morning I woke up too early,
Too early to turn on T.V.
Looked under my bed for something to do,
But the dust under there made me sneeze!
And to my surprise the dust danced around in the breeze!
The Dust Bunny Waltz, lighter than air.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, without a care.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, twirling and swirling around.
I watched as they glided in circles and swirls
And decided to give each a name;
There's Harvey with blue thread, and Silvia too,
Annette, Eddie and Charlemagne!
Enrique and Grace led them all as they danced the refrain!
The Dust Bunny Waltz, lighter than air.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, without a care.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, twirling and swirling around.
But I hear the sound of our new vaccuum cleaner
The old one was mad, but this one sounds meaner.
So I hide away all of my new little friends
And keep them all safe till the terrible cleaning ends.
Then out of my shoebox of special collections,
A puff sends them off in many directions
Dancing once again...to
The Dust Bunny Waltz, lighter than air.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, without a care.
The Dust Bunny Waltz, twirling and swirling around.
Twirling and swirling around.
Twirling and swirling around.
Ooh Ooh Ooh.

Big Bad Monster
In the middle of the night I thought I heard a noise
Coming from my closet in between my toys.
Oh, what should I do if my worst fears are true?
A great green slimy creature nibbling on my shoe!
Oh, there's a BIG (Grrr) BAD (Grrr) Monster in my closet!
Oh, there's a BIG (Grrr) BAD (Grrr) Monster in my closet!
Oh, there's a BIG (Grrr) BAD (Grrr) Monster in my closet!
And I'm not letting him out until the morning!
I wonder if he's trying on all my best clothes, if he
Puts on my shoes I hope he ties neat bows!
And what about my puppets and my stamp collection, too?
I hate to think of all that stuff smeared with slimy goo!
With all that going on how can I get some sleep?
I need to find a way to quiet that big creep.
What if I could feed him, slide some bread under the door.
But if he ever falls asleep...I just hope he doesn't snore!
I'm not letting him out
I'm not letting him out
I'm not letting him out until the morning

Baby's In The Cradle
Baby’s in the cradle fast asleep
Bringing so much joy for us to keep
Soon he will awaken and off he’ll go
We’ll share love and laughter
and watch him grow.
Teach him how to wonder while his eyes are bright as snow
Teach him to ask questions for the things he wants to know
Teach him how to live in love and how to make a stand
But most importantly, teach him that he can.
Baby’s in the cradle fast asleep
Bringing so much joy for us to keep
Soon he will awaken and off he’ll go
We’ll share love and laughter
and watch him grow.
(Instrumental)
But most importantly, teach him that he can.

Paint The Zoo
The animals wanted to paint the zoo
But they began to argue
They couldn't agree on what colors to use
To make theirs different from the other zoos
So they all sat... down.
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
"Blue, like the sky," said the Mockingbird.
"Grey," said the Elephant, "like the herd."
"Green," said the Snake, "like the summer grass."
"Red," said the antelope, "will give it class.
And the Bear said...."Brown."
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
The Zebra said, "Those would all be mistakes.
Black and white stripes is what it takes."
“Black," said the Tiger, "with stripes of orange hue."
Chameleon said, "Any color will do."
And the Bear said...."Brown."
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
The Lion said, "Polka dots of pink and blue,
Because I'm the king of the jungle!"
But up hopped a little Kangaroo
Who said, "You're not the king at the zoo!"
And the Bear said...."Brown."
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do,
Don't know what color to paint the zoo.
Without an agreement, the zoo would stay white
So they talked and talked long into the night
Early in the morning, just about sunrise
They came up with a compromise
And the Bear said...."It’s about time!”
Oh, oh, what to do
Now we know what colors to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do
Now we know what colors to paint the zoo.
Each cage was painted to its owner's wish
There was even some seaweed painted for the Fish
The Lion got his pink and blue polka dots,
The Zebra his stripes, the Leopard his spots
And the Bear got....brown.
Oh, oh, what to do
Now we know what colors to paint the zoo.
Oh, oh, what to do
Now we know what colors to paint the zoo.

Be Nice To Spiders
Be nice to spiders and they’ll be nice to you
Cause if you do, I know you'll like
The wonderful things they do
They keep away those pesky bugs
Creepy crawly things in your rugs,
Oh yes they do!
Don’t worry 'bout their little webs, they keep them neat and clean
In case a wand'ring insect falls into their dinner scene
Mosquitoes, beetles, gnats and bees to us are pesky beasts
But on these tasty critters, the friendly spider feasts, So...
Be nice to spiders and they’ll be nice to you
Cause if you do, I know you'll like
The wonderful things they do
They keep away those pesky bugs
Creepy crawly things in your rugs,
Oh yes they do!
Now a fly may get on your food when you sit down to eat
And leave those disgusting germs with his little feet
You can wave your hands and shout, but he'll come back for more
You need a friendly spider to even up the score! So...
Be nice to spiders and they’ll be nice to you
Cause if you do, I know you'll like
The wonderful things they do
They keep away those pesky bugs
Creepy crawly things in your rugs,
Oh yes they do!
Be nice to spiders and they’ll be nice to you
Cause if you do, I know you'll like
The wonderful things they do
They keep away those pesky bugs
Creepy crawly things in your rugs,
Oh yes they do!

Pumpkin Song
I'm a little pumpkin seed Waiting to be planted
I don't look like much, but I'm Wonderful inside.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
I'm a little pumpkin vine Waiting to be watered
I'm in good soil, with lots of sun Growing strong with pride.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
I'm an orange pumpkin blossom Waiting for some pollen
If a bee will come along, I'll let her come inside.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
I'm a little green pumpkin Waiting to be noticed
Tucked away under the leaves It's hard to catch your eye.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
And I will grow in the sunshine, drink in the rain
Glad to be a part of every day
Part of the mystery, part of the chain
And part of all the joy of nature's way
I'm a big orange pumpkin Waiting for the harvest
If I'm lucky, I will be Someone's special prize.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
I'm the chosen pumpkin Waiting to be carved up
A Jack o lantern I will be With candle light inside.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
On a front porch glowing, I'm Smiling in the darkness
What a lifetime this has been It's time to say good bye.
Oh, It takes time, it takes time, it takes time.
And as you grow in the sunshine, drink in the rain
Be glad to be a part of every day
Part of the mystery, part of the chain
And part of all the joy of nature's way

The "Under Where?" Song
I lost my pet mouse, Felix, from my pocket at the store
The cashier saw him scampering across the crowded floor
She jumped on to the counter and held on to her hair
I said, "Don't worry any ma'am, I see him under there!"
"Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
Please tell me tell me, tell me, under where?
Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
On second thought, don't tell me, just get it out of there!"
I lost my pet iguana somewhere in my house
My mother was so frightened you'd think I lost my mouse
My Mom jumped on the sofa, and then hopped to the stairs
I said, "Don't worry any Mom, I see him under there!"
"Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
Please tell me tell me, tell me, under where?
Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
On second thought, don't tell me, just get it out of there!"
I lost my pet snake, Slimy, which I brought to show at school
The teacher nearly fainted, the kids thought it was cool
The teacher let me look for him while she stood on a chair
I said, "Don't worry any, Teacher, I see him under there!"
"Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
Please tell me tell me, tell me, under where?
Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
On second thought, don't tell me, just get it out of there!"
I lost Weber, my spider, while riding on a bus
The lady sitting next to me put up an awful fuss
While swinging from the luggage rack demanding back her fare
I said, "Don't worry any ma'am, I see him under there!"
"Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
Please tell me tell me, tell me, under where?
Under where?" she cried, "Under where?
On second thought, don't tell me, just get it out of there!"
